AIAES confirms that the application is complete and meets the basic eligibility conditions.
Institutional Assessment
Reviewers examine the submitted material against the criteria relevant to the institution.
Clarification
Additional documents, explanations, or corrective actions may be requested.
Interview or Virtual Visit
A meeting or remote visit may be conducted when further confirmation is required.
Decision
The institution receives approval, conditional approval, a development request, or a reasoned decline.
Accreditation Record
Approved institutions receive their accreditation documentation, reference number, and registry status.
Outcomes Based on the Assessment
Full Accreditation
The institution demonstrates satisfactory alignment with the applicable requirements.
Conditional Accreditation
The principal requirements are met, with specific improvements required within a defined period.
Development Required
Identified gaps must be addressed before a final decision can be made.
Accreditation Declined
The current submission does not demonstrate sufficient alignment with the required criteria.
Application and assessment fees cover the review process and do not guarantee approval.
What Approval Includes
Depending on the decision and approved scope, an institution may receive:

Quality Must Continue After Approval
Accredited institutions are expected to:
AIAES may suspend or withdraw accreditation if an institution no longer meets the applicable requirements, misrepresents its status, or breaches accreditation policies.

- Report significant ownership or operational changes
- Address complaints appropriately
- Use the AIAES name and badge accurately
- Complete monitoring and renewal requirements
Institutional Accreditation Has Defined Boundaries
AIAES Institutional Accreditation confirms that an organization has been assessed within an approved professional scope.
It does not:
Institutions remain responsible for meeting the legal and regulatory requirements applicable to their activities.
- Establish the institution as a university
- Authorize the awarding of academic degrees
- Replace a government licence or regulatory approval
- Permit regulated activities without legal authorization
- Guarantee acceptance by governments, universities, employers, or immigration authorities
- Automatically cover every program offered by the institution
Questions Institutions Commonly Ask
Does Institutional Accreditation cover all our programs?
No. It evaluates the institution and its operating systems. Individual programs may require separate Program Accreditation.
Can a newly established institution apply?
An institution may submit an eligibility inquiry. Readiness will depend on its legal identity, operating history, available records, and demonstrated training activity.
Is accreditation guaranteed after payment?
No. Fees cover the application and assessment process. Approval depends on the outcome of the institutional review.
Can an online training provider apply?
Yes, provided it can demonstrate reliable digital delivery, learner support, assessment, record-keeping, and quality controls.
Is an onsite visit required?
Not in every case. An interview, virtual visit, or other confirmation activity may be requested when necessary.
How long does accreditation remain valid?
The validity period is stated in the accreditation decision and may vary according to the approved scope and applicable conditions.
Can we display the AIAES badge?
Approved institutions may use the authorized badge according to AIAES credential-use policies.
What happens if our institution changes its name or ownership?
Material changes must be reported. AIAES will determine whether the existing accreditation can continue or requires reassessment.
